HEKLA TOWER
PARIS, FRANCE

Elevators installation, 2020 - 2022

A new big challenge for the Simplex team. In the 220-meter-tall Hekla Tower in Paris we are installing the Shaft Climber type elevator. An innovative system designed for use in the construction phase of high-rise buildings that grows with the building. The elevator is used in phases, while at the same time it continues to rise as the building enters a further construction phase. The skyscraper is located in the Rose de Cherbourg district of La Défense. The Hekla Tower rises to 51 levels from the ground floor. The levels are intended to be occupied mainly by offices, the reception areas, restaurants will be available on the first 7 levels of the tower. It was designed by French starchitect and winner of the 2008 Pritzker Prize Jean Nouvel.
