The Grand Palais is a magnificent site at the heart of Paris. Built for the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1900, thanks to the most advanced construction techniques of the time, it is renowned worldwide for its magnificent nave and glass roof. More than 6,000 tonnes of steel were needed to build the nave. The Grand Palais, which had never previously benefited from a full restoration, is currently undergoing work and will reopen in 2024 to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games, where it will host the fencing and taekwondo events. Simplex Team will carry out the modernization and installation of two elevators, with capacity of 6t, 4 sops and 23m high.

Another modernization project, this time in Germany! The Olympic Tower in the Olympic Park, Munich has an overall height of 291 m and a weight of 52,500 tons. At a height of 190 m there is an observation platform as well as an exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Tower. Since its opening in 1968, the tower has registered over 43 million visitors (as of 2018). At a height of 182 m there is a revolving restaurant, which seats 230 people. A full revolving takes 53 minutes. The tower also serves as a broadcast tower, and has one Deutsche Telekom maintenance elevator with a speed of 4 m/s, as well as two visitor lifts with a speed of 7 m/s which have a capacity of about 30 people per elevator. The Porta Nuova region in Italy will have a new addition to its vibrancy, thanks to the Gioia 20 Towers, a pair of multi-purpose towers. The project comprises two towers named Gioia East Tower and the Gioia West Tower and it will be built to the greatest standards to provide residents with flexibility and comfort. It will feature a twin lift comprising two distinct cabins running in the same shaft resulting in shorter wait times and more efficiency. It is the first time such a lift is being utilised in an Italian project. The 65m-high Gioia West Tower will have 14 floors above ground and three basement levels. The Gioia Est tower with 24 floors and four subterranean levels will be 98m high. Simplex Team will install a total of 15 elevators, of which 6 are Twin elevators.

Restructuring rather than destroying: a strong message at the heart of Paris La Défense. A new major redevelopment project is a makeover of the Adria Tower which is transformed into the Hopen Tower.

The result is a new, more modern appearance. The gray granite front will give way to a glass cover. The tower will be extended by three floors and gain extensions on the lower floors, which will be occupied by patios, terraces and gardens. Hopen Tower will therefore become a true destination, combining restaurants, shops, services and culture. At the top of the tower, the other flagship space of the whole: a restaurant open to the horizon, welcomes the general public and offers a unique view of Paris La Défense and the Greater West of Paris at a height of 150 meters. Simplex team is in charge of installing 8 Skyrise elevators with a load capacity of 1800kg from 21 - 48 floors.

Elevator Installation in a New Iconic Tower for Paris La Défense, in 2023, will be a new professional challenge for the Simplex team.

Project, The Link comprises two towers linked by 30 levels of green walkways. The 'Arche' wing will rise to 228 meters above Paris with 50 floors and the 'Seine' wing to 165 meters with 35 floors. The whole complex will rest on a common base of three levels between the urban boulevard and the forecourt. Employees will benefit from 130,000 sq.m. of office, restaurant, co-working and relaxation space. Simplex will install 16 Skyrise Double-deck elevators with a load capacity of 1600 kg from 23 and 24 floors up to 191,24 meters high.
